I am a highly motivated chemical engineering graduate. I have experience in surface treatment industry, research and development and pilot plant scale of titanium metal powder manufacturing processes. I am currently working in a team environment in translating cutting-edge industrial research into valuable processing technologies and products for commercial application. I have also recently completed of my bcom degree. Career objective: To deliver value to the organisation by leveraging technical and financial knowledge. I bring the R&D experience for both process and product development. I am involved in the CSIR-Titanium Pilot plant project under Titanium Centre of Competency. This project is one of the Department of Science and Technology's flagship programs. I am working closely with the team of chemical engineers, a chemist and project manager in translating cutting-edge scientific research into valuable processing technologies and products for commercial application. I am involved in the development of a technology to produce titanium metal powder which is believed to be cost competitive than those used commercially. The technology is promising in adding value to the establishment of a new South African titanium metal industry and the economic growth of the country.
