Hennie’s ICT career spans more than 25 years after completion of his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science. He has been involved in application development ranging from mathematical software to large corporate applications. He has held management positions for around 15 years, for example most recently as XBRL Programme Manager at the Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission (CIPC) as a consultant, and previously as Senior Portfolio Manager of Business Solutions at the Financial Service Board (FSB). He managed development and other programmes and projects through conceptualization, initiation, analysis, design, building, testing, deployment and maintenance phases, as well as customer support. Hennie is very comfortable liaising with technical staff and business stakeholders ranging from junior application users to executive staff, and also external service providers and stakeholders. Hennie’s vast experience of ICT concepts, strategy, governance principles, as well as different technology types and projects in general, enables him to manage any portfolio, programme or project regardless of underlying technologies used. Hennie also obtained and Advanced Certificate in Information Systems Management from the University of Pretoria which is accredited by SAQA on NQF Level 7.
